Letter written by CASSANDRA to Acting Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks on March 4, 2013 in regard to the NAPA report "
Rebooting the Government Printing Office: Keeping
America Informed in the Digital Age." In particular, recommendation #4 of the NAPA report, which calls for GPO to consider charging fees for end users of the Federal Digital System
(FDsys), was found to be highly problematic with this group of long-time government information librarians especially given that NAPA's conclusion stated that "free access to government
information is both an important tenet of a democracy and a critical
responsibility." The letter was sent to Ms Vance-Cooks and cc'd to the following:

U. S. Congress. Senate Rules Committee
U. S. Congress Committee On House Administration
